Blind Vulcan Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 A few questions - thanks: 1) Is there any other model with the body specs of the SD? If not identical, any with the same depth spec? 2) In my brief and uneducated research of current jumbo models, it seems they all have the same neck (nut) width - I think it's 1.725 - the only neck variation being shape (C or V etc). Is that right? Thanks again!
slimt Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 The J200 would be about the same except for the cutaway.. I think the Super Dove is the Only 17 inch wide Jumbo cutaway acoustic as well at this time.. as for the neck.. they are I would guess the same ..
modoc_333 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 The Super Dove is MUCH thinner than the 200. Its really the only one. If you like it, why are you looking for something else? Get a Super Dove!
rar Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 ... it seems they all have the same neck (nut) width - I think it's 1.725 - the only neck variation being shape (C or V etc). Is that right? I'm sure they're still building plenty with 1.75" neck width. Keep in mind that about 1/3 of the guitars they build aren't standard production models, so there's a lot of variation that doesn't show up when reading the specs on the website. -- Bob R P.S. If you want something along the lines of a shallow J-200 with a cutaway and a 1.75" neck, or whatever, get a quote on one. This sort of "custom" isn't usually priced significantly higher than if it were a standard production model -- it's no extra work for them to build it your way.
sjl200 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Anybody got a Super Dove? and if so how do you like it? and some pics would be nice.. ps. who got that Jackson Browne model A on e-Bay yesterday...$4101.
drathbun Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 May not be Super Dove... but it is a curvy model:
