Lungimsam
Does Gibson do these? If not, they should. They look great on guitars that have them done this way.

KL
Gibson have done bursts on the back of the neck at various times and I agree that they can look great.

Lungimsam
Nice neckburst! Yours even has the back othe headstock done, too! I think if the guitar is a burst, it oughtta be done on the neck, too. Classy!!! So nice! Makes it that much more fun to play, looking at the pretty rosewood in the front, and the pretty burst on the back. Too cool!
Californiaman
They're nice, but I preger a stinger on the back of the neck.
L5Larry
Here's one on my '75 LP. Here's the Back of my L-5. On my 345 the brown of the sunburst covers the neck heal and feathers out about 4" inches up the neck. The rest of the neck and headstock are natural mahogany. The '75 335 I used to have also had a nice sunburst on the back of the neck and headstock. It seems to me that sunburst necks are way more prevalent on the maple neck Gibsons. Lungimsam
The fretboard is ebony with MOP block inlays. That makes it even better! Nice axe!
Lungimsam
I was in Florida last week. It was not very hot being February, so I avoided getting a sunburst neck on myself.

TommyK
Nice touch. Be aware, though, necks have been 'bursted' in this area after neck repairs.
L5Larry
Be aware, though, necks have been 'bursted' in this area after neck repairs. Ah yes, this statement is very true. I've seen a few of these "custom" neck bursts.
KL
Ah yes, this statement is very true. I've seen a few of these "custom" neck bursts. This is true. But a good original Gibson neck burst is a nice thing.
