jfalkens Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I sold my Fender CIJ Jaguar a while ago and have been without a guitar for a while. Went to Guitar Center and I came home with... Les Paul Traditional Pro (Heritage Cherry Sunburst-Plain top) They had a President's Sale going, so I got it for $377 :) HNGD for me!
RaSTuS Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Absolutely HNGD to you, looks killer, if it plays anywhere near as good, you got yourself a keeper there, welcome back.
brad1 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 HNGD !!! She looks great! Ain't it good to have a guitar again?!
brianh Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Nice, you'll really like the coil splitters on that guit, very versatile. A steal at $377.
bonzoboy Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Congrats,I know that you're going to really enjoy it,I have the Wine coloured one but paid $505 + tax so you did really well. The coil tap function isn't Stratlike but falls somewhere between a Fender Jaguar and Mustang and the pickups are so much like the PAFs that it's amazing.I don't know what kind of amp you have but they sound absolutely deadly through a Fender Blues Jr. or Deluxe Reverb but when you run it through a Marshall run wide open it really shines too.I was blown away how much mine sounded like Robert Fripps PAF Les Paul he used on Court of the Crimson King from King Crimsons 1st album.
LSAR Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 HNGD, looks beautiful! What are you playing her through?
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Happy new Guitar Day Cherry Sunburst is a great colour on Les Pauls. And your Les Paul looks awesome!
bkrejcik Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 That looks great, and I don't even like cherry sunburst. I really like plaintops, too.
JamGuy Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Well done... a beautiful guitar indeed. People seem to be raving about those pickups. Seems like a great idea for Epiphone to be replacing a lot of discontinued models of guitars with similar versions with the ProBucker pickups. Hope you're enjoying the new git!
Blueman335 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Well done... a beautiful guitar indeed. +1.
