bluzhammer Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 My head is splitting and my nose is bleeding. keep up the good work !!!!!
davidl Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I'm sorry was that intentional? The bass line is very smooth and rolls from one note to the other. Try to do this one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCwVGHSqQ7A Man, this young lady has the chops. Being as pretty as she is doesn't hurt either
EVOL! Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Hey guys I done a Pink Floyd cover today and decided to post it. A classic from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon- Money covered by The LudNuts. Where's the saxophone solo?!!! Total fail because of that.
brad1 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Sorry guys I don't know how to play saxophone! I was basically playing to bass line to Money and Singing it No, you were NOT playing the bass line. I don't know what it was you were playing, but believe me, it wasn't the bass line to Money.
EVOL! Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 ... you have to be able to tell the difference between playing the song and doing the notes. And when you need a sax solo.
RaysEpiphone Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 That chic does a good go of "Bark at the Moon" on her Youtube channel, she hasn't been active in 6 month's but I left a comment complementing her and subed it any-how's.
RaysEpiphone Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Hey Ludnuts...it don't matter how good or bad you/anyone play(s), if you like doing it, then do it. These guys are just giving you some advise. Not everyone is Roger Water's but you can still have fun attempting it, just don't get upset if you never go any where with music. I had worked up a few toon's off Dark Side of the Moon a while back and they are not easy things to learn on bass. Start off with, "25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago, or even, "Wild Thing" by The Trog's, both are relatively simple song's to play.
daveinspain Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Here she is again, even the fretboard on this guitar looks shiny..... Loads of fricking talent for sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvP9Q0S3sOY I don't think that's the same girl.... The Girl in the other video is younger, although the videos could have been made a few years apart, and better, IMHO... Oh, and their names are different...

The first girl is a lot better than this one.

He is a self proclaimed living legend. He was the bassist in a band in the 80's that was huge in the area and they were close to a missive deal but the singer took drugs so it all ended. He also hasn't responded well to constructive criticism in the past and is a major PIA in general. That's why you're seeing what must look like fairly unkind responses to his post.
Dub-T-123 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Jake, I learned to play by ear too so I know where you're coming from. Try playing this song with a B "power chord". AKA 2nd fret on the A string, 4th fret on the D string, and 4th fret on the G string. There aren't really any effects on that part of the song. You are playing it wrong. Maybe just try listening to the song a little more carefully. Not trying to be mean just trying to help. I can write you tabs for that song if you want.
brad1 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 To this post I say B.S., What In fact is an actual chord played by an artist I learn to play by ear. Almost everything I post on here when I do covers people say something hateful about. Haven't any of you guys heard, "If you can't say something nice don't say it at all." I do on the other have agree with this poster about It not being the right chord, but I listened to the recording of my own playing and the song by pink floyd a zillion time and If you take the pink floyd song and take the effects out of it and the drums and everything it would sound like what I'm playing. I personally think It sounds dead on, because The actual Pink Floyd band uses so many effects and stuff and It's hard to replicate the exact song. I also think that a lot of effects make music suck, because I like music to sound raw and have balls. Let me tell you something. You guys actually know nothing about me! I may come off as young here, but I actually just turned 41 in January. I know some guys on the forum are in their 60's probably though. I have 2 sons that are 13 and 19. I'm divorced from a wife of 6 years and have previously played in two bands, one was semi professional, before I became a solo artist and formed a band of my own in 2003. My life has changed quite a bit over the years and I've been through hard times. I have actually owned a local music store previously but had to sell it because of finances. I simply want to make music out of personal enjoyment and love I get from it. I gave up on being anything a long time ago. I also enjoy talking to other musicians sometimes, but people on forums can be mean. This guy seems to somewhat have it right, but seems kinda mockery like. No offense. I'm just saying, My name is in fact Jake Ludwig. I do consider myself a living legend. I've done a lot of great things in my life time that I don't get enough credit for in my humble opinion. I know for a fact that credit isn't given it's earned and I reserve that right to have it. It took many years of hard work of encompletable measure. I can honestly say I will never be in any magazines or the hall of fame of any kind, but that doesn't mean I'm anything less of being a greater of the greatest as a musician, a songwriter, an artist, a businessman, a person, and myself, a human being. Seriously though, I was in a band many years ago although it wasn't in the 80's it was in the late 90's. I actually said that as a joke because I absolutely hate hair metal. I can honestly as I have a one heckk of a sarcasm that no one understands. I simply take the insane approcch to add to the factor. Well that guy is crazy! Nice talking to you guys! I've been really lonely since my ol' lady left and Forums help me cope a lot. Please don't be so mean to me, because I'm really a good guy that means you no harm. So now you have another version of your life story. And we're supposed to believe that? You are not 41. You don't have kids. You've never played in a band, in a club, in your entire life because there is no way anyone would hire you. You constantly put up music that everyone tells you needs work, and it makes you mad. So why not end the nonsense. Nobody believes you. And you are not impressing anybody with what you perceive to be your "ultra-creativeness". You are not misunderstood young man, you are misunderstanding what you are doing. And fooling yourself will get you nowhere.
Dub-T-123 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Woah man. I was just trying to help. As a matter of fact I do not care to prove you wrong. If this is your attitude about accepting help then I see why you can't play such a simple song after years of playing..
Morkolo Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I played with a telecaster, neck pickup, E string, A string and D string second dot and 3rd dot (5th fret and 7th fret) I think my way sounds best, if not prove me wrong. Why do you even care how someone else plays? I'm not being ugly, I'm just saying that the song still gets played either way. If I play something the way I play don't try to change it because I actually took the time to learn it and I'm honestly happy with myself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw3Mn-a-5SM Here's a sample of your version and then the Pink Floyd's one back to back... there is a difference and if that was intentional then so be it. If not own your mistake (it's not something to be ashamed of I make them all the time, like in the video) and learn how to play it properly, that's the only way you'll learn. Good luck.
brad1 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 To Brad1, I don't appreciate being called a lier. You lie constantly! You have even said so yourself on here more than once. So stop calling yourself a liar. BTW, if you were 41 I would hope you would know how to spell liar. But you don't, because you are a kid. Unless you lied to us when you posted that video of yourself playing. You weren't 41 in the video.
Big Bill Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJtoJ-LIU6g Morkolo played it better than Roger himself.
Big Bill Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Just another prank by our man Andy Kaufman!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l_Xm8GQW14&feature=related
