Dub-T-123 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Well.. It's not that new anymore.. But anyways I just got this album and I have to say I'm really diggin some of the tracks on it. It's much better than I was expecting. I know a lot of people don't like it because it's a departure from their style in the past, but I think forgetting about all of that it has some really good songs on it. Some totally sweet guitar parts/toanz too. What do you guys think about it?
Riffster Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Haven't heard it except for what is on the radio but it is on my list to buy.
heymisterk Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Solid. There are a couple of tracks that are very, very good. I have been a Keys fan since Rubber Factory.
surfpup Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Sure, I prefer Thickfreakness, but the new stuff is excellent - just less ferocious.
Dub-T-123 Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Stiffy - I wasn't too interested when all I heard on the radio was "Lonely Boy" but the album really exceeded my expectations. It's got me bobbin my head and in a good mood. Definitely buy it it's great. Heymistermk - I agree a couple of the songs are just particularly completely awesome. I'll admit I've only been a fan since Brothers, but I checked out all of their older stuff and love it as well. I love their old stuff but I also like the direction they're moving in. I appreciate that they keep changing it up while still holding on to their style. I just feel like they can do no wrong I hope they keep it up Pup - Thickfreakness is awesome. Love that record. The new stuff is definitely less ferocious, but it's so catchy and groovy. It just feels good
