flyingarmadillo Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Interesting that the seller is in Grand Rapids, Michigan USA, but he's listing the item on Ebay-UK.

Rabs Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Interesting that the seller is in Grand Rapids, Michigan USA, but he's listing the item on Ebay-UK. Well as far as I know listed items are worldwide.. I get US listings automatically and need to untick it if I dont want to see them in my search.. Well lets face it he needs as big an audience he can for this.. Lol really, you could probably fabricate your own one for $10... Thats not the only one ive seen too. They had an Eddie Veder pick for like $700, its gone now but the other day they had a BB King one up for $800. I mean as said I can see some value in anything to do with Les Paul, but this is just silly, I almost want to email the guy and tell him hes crazy lol :)
Buxom Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Name could have just been scratched in by anybody.
Notes_Norton Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 It's a thing with collectibles. How much will the market bear? Is that baseball signed by Mickey Mantle worth millions? How about a pair of the Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers? A first year edition Barbie doll? Collectible items are worth more to collectors than they are worth in themselves. For a person with an income like mine, the prices they get for those things are absurd, and far more than I would ever pay for them. But then if I had money like a CEO of Goldman Sachs, I'd have nowhere else to blow my money on but on things that aren't worth it. And that's the prime reason the "uppers" buy expensive things, to show that they CAN afford to waste money. When I was young I remember reading that a person owned a Jaguar automobile because of the high maintenance costs. They broke down often, were extremely expensive to fix, and that put a Jaguar owner in a class that obviously has more than one, and can afford to waste money.
RowdyMoon Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Yes but...if it was owned by les Paul himself then there could be Paul DNA on it...and with the right formula I could mix up a potion, drink said potion and ( cue blues music now )...I WENT TO THE CROSSROADS, FELL DOWN ON MY KNEE!!! Bruhahahahahaha!!!
sneakerpimp Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 it'll never sell... seller has been rejecting offers for over a year. he has a similar listing for a Metallica pick for $9500 that's been unsold for *two* years.
