zigzag Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Take all the visual art of della Francesca, Bernini, de Chirico, Magritte, Kandinsky, Kokoshka, Monet or the music of Mozart, Monk, Zawinul, Jaco or Hendrix. The artist that moves me the most is David Gilmour.
Stooge Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Townshend for me, nothing surpasses imo only though.
Riffster Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 While I have many favorites ever since I was a teenager, Ritchie Blackmore and the incredible touch and sense of melody he has on the guitar.
RowdyMoon Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 For me there are several but mainly.. Alan Wilson Pete Townshend David Wilcox (The Canadian, not the American folk singer) and Son House,John Lee Hooker, Bukka White,Elmore James, Blind Willie Johnson, Charlie Patton, skip James...ah heck most of the old time blues players
EVOL! Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. His first official solo album (not counting the instrumental oddity From Here To Inifinity) comes out March 20. Outside of that it is Who's Next era Townshend. The Lifehouse stuff they did at Young Vic takes me away to magical places. The lyrics; the message in those songs. Pretty heavy stuff.
Californiaman Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 moe. Can listen to it for hours on end.
