hanspi1971 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Hello! I’m new here and need some help/advice/suggestion: I bought a rare white Gibson Les Paul Standard with gold hardware recently. It came in its OHC and with truss rod adjustment tool and an original warranty sheet. But unfortunately the owners manual is missing, the pre-owner lost it. Not knowing, how the manual looks like and if it is „personalized“ with details of every specific guitar (like serial number and/or date of purchase, I wanted to ask, if anyone here knows where I can get one these? Or does anybody have one he/she doesn’t need? Thanks for every post! Best regards Hans (from Austria/Europe)
BigKahune Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 . Welcome. The manuals are pretty generic and not personalized - here's a PDF of one - http://www.gibson.com/files/downloads/pdfs/gibson/usa_owners_manual.pdf If you email service@gibson.com with the serial number (should be stamped on the back of the headstock), they can give you a run down of what's in their records for that serial number. How about a couple pics of your LP? . B) .
hanspi1971 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Hi, thank you for the information. I contacted Gibson and was told, that my guitar was built in December 7th, 1989. What I am looking for is a time matching owners manual. I guess, they had other artwork back in 1989. You can find a lot of manuals in ebay from the 60s and the 70s, but there is none from the late 1980s. I don’t know why. Anyway, I will take photos from my white beauty and post them within the next days. Thanks Hans

hanspi1971 Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Sorry, I cannot load up more pics yet because the limit is 500K…
Gary Moore Tribute Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Sorry, I cannot load up more pics yet because the limit is 500K… Use Photobucket or Imageshack and place on the page using the "Insert Image" button (Make sure to copy the entire http link) simple enough the "Thumb" is way to limiting for posting lots of pictures and very quickly becomes redundant once you know the above... Heres an example:
