geyser
as already said in another topic, I have to let my beautiful R9 go... :-( before to go on eBay, I thought it would be nice if it could find a new home by some of you forum guys; I think if you're in Europe you should find it pretty affordable, unless you're not thinking I'm givin' it away ... this is a link that will bring to a slideshow with old and brand new pictures of my *baby*: http://s379.photobucket.com/albums/oo240/geyser63/R9%20for%20sale/?albumview=slideshow&direction=reverse if somebody is interested, can PM or email me

geyser
Nice looking R9. But Im not in Europe. too bad... I think considering EUR/$ switch and shipping fees this would cost too much for you guys overseas, that's why I think this should be more for Euro-Lesters-maniacs ... Homz
I thought i knew all the Gibson models and histories. What is an R9? My guess would be a reissue custom 1959 LP. BTW... it is beautiful.
SRV-Zeppelin
How much are you asking, geyser? I could move to Europe. I want an R9 so bad...
Tim Plains
No man, don't sell the R9. You should keep that thing forever and sell me the JP, instead.

SRV-Zeppelin
Seriously, as soon as I get my 62 Strat RI, it's either an R9 or a Marshall JVM 410 with 1960 A + B cabinets... whichever I figure I want more, I guess.
bobv
I thought i knew all the Gibson models and histories. What is an R9? My guess would be a reissue custom 1959 LP. BTW... it is beautiful. The curent line of reissues from the "Custom, Art, and Historic" shop have a stamp in the wall of the control cavity to show the model they're reissuing (as well as the first digit of the serial number). The R9 is the 1959 Standard reissue (not a Custom). Beauty and good luck. Surprised Davesinspain hasn't snapped it up. By the way is that a gloss model or did you buff out the VOS treatment? Silverbursted
That is one of the finest finishes I've seen. Too bad you have to sell, things are tough all over. If the dollar to Euro didn't suck so bad, I'd jump on it.

As far as me snapping it up, if the price is right, could happen.... I would definitely give it a good home...

SRV-Zeppelin
Hey Flight and AS90, what's it like in Britain? I would seriously move to Europe if I could get geyser's axe for a good deal... On second thought, I like living in Canada too much. I guess I'll have to wait till the 2009 50th anniversary models come out.
