music4love Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Thanks for posting. Was that Ren? I feel so blessed to be a Hummingbird owner.
JuanCarlosVejar Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I'd never seen him play. thanks that bird sounded awesome. JC
E-minor7 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 If this isn't Lay Lady Lay Ferguson flirts with here, my ears are made of stone. Hadn't seen the clip and enjoyed it. Interesting to know the master started on one of these back in the days of long gone (wonder if he still has it). And interesting to hear him play one now. This ex, I presume, would be a good measuring stick for what he thinks they should sound like (as new) - and does it sing beautifully. Again, , , fine footage. Thanx for posting. ..............................................""Most bluegrass players don't play red guitars" ,..............................,..............................................................Ren Ferguson. On a heavier note, mark his last sentence -
roughdiamond Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 ..............................................""Most bluegrass players don't play red guitars" ,..............................,..............................................................Ren Ferguson. On a heavier note, mark his last sentence - just found a little raw snippet done a while back of messin' with my hummer in the kitchen with my mate and my kids as background fx. I think the hummer is a good versatile dread and stereotypes are just that..stereotypes http://soundclick.co...cfm?id=11479667
MissouriPicker Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I enjoyed that. Don't believe I've seen it before. Thanks for posting. The bird is the word!

A little more volume in the recording wouldn't have done harm. What year is the Bird and what strings do you use ? ?
Tarrr Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Ren has had some serious Dylan and Lennon acoustic roots... wonderful.

What year is the Bird and what strings do you use ? ? hummer is a 2007 with elexir at the time with the the thumb nail. Volume level got lost somewhere in the netbook/cyber part from the initial zoomh2 earbud level? It's my first time doing this. Anyway it was just a little something from the red guitar's deep DNA make up for the curious - as I was once..
