larryp58 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Come back to us Scott. You to GillianGirl.
BigKahune Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 . Scott's been around. Here's a thread he started in January in the lounge - Big news Absolutely no guitar content - about his engagement Then in February he posted another bit on the thread here - http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/80351-big-news/page__view__findpost__p__1121333 .
ksdaddy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Oh yeah, I'm here. Haven't been doing much guitar stuff lately. Absolutely no repairs or projects, no GAS, but some hardcore flipping of cheaper stuff just for sport. I've also been culling stuff here in anticipation of the big move across the river to El Rancho del Retro. It's literally twice the size of my old house but I am compelled to shed most of my old life. Don't look at that as negative, I'm still just as odd and quirky as ever, just more content and calm in my new relationship than I ever thought humanly possible. Penny has fixed my broken brain and heart, period. During the week I stay at Penny's apt and on the weekends we stay here. It's a little unsettling; we're anxious to nest in the new house. I may still know how to play guitar, not sure though. I will have the entire cellar for a man cave if I choose. It's not finished but it's not a typical cellar either. There is some carpeting down there, etc. No cellar funk... more like unfinished rooms. There's a room down there, maybe 8x12, that I may use for guitar storage. I've already ordered a couple hygrometers to assess it. I recently picked up a pristine 1999 Fender '65 Twin Reverb and I am cooking a deal on a 1968 Bassman with a 2-15 bottom. The cellar will be loud.
retrorod Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Awesome Scott! Sounds like a great mancave. As you already apparently know...shucking the '99TRRI for the '68 bassman/W/cab.... Right On!
ksdaddy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Actually I'll probably end up keeping both of them!
G McBride Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Those Fender amps are pretty hard to beat. The only downfall is that they are very loud, if you consider that a downfall. Congrats on the new house and the new life. It is great to get to the point in life where you feel comfortable and complete. Now it is time to kick back and enjoy all of those things that you were searching for all of your life.
larryp58 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Good to hear from you, Scott! Sounds like things are looking up! Congrats on the new relationship, and the new man-cave!
BigKahune Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 . Murph - It's good to see you in these parts again. . B) .
