KSDaddy, are you still lurking around?

Recommended Posts

Oh yeah, I'm here. Haven't been doing much guitar stuff lately. Absolutely no repairs or projects, no GAS, but some hardcore flipping of cheaper stuff just for sport. I've also been culling stuff here in anticipation of the big move across the river to El Rancho del Retro. It's literally twice the size of my old house but I am compelled to shed most of my old life. Don't look at that as negative, I'm still just as odd and quirky as ever, just more content and calm in my new relationship than I ever thought humanly possible. Penny has fixed my broken brain and heart, period.

During the week I stay at Penny's apt and on the weekends we stay here. It's a little unsettling; we're anxious to nest in the new house.

I may still know how to play guitar, not sure though. I will have the entire cellar for a man cave if I choose. It's not finished but it's not a typical cellar either. There is some carpeting down there, etc. No cellar funk... more like unfinished rooms. There's a room down there, maybe 8x12, that I may use for guitar storage. I've already ordered a couple hygrometers to assess it.

I recently picked up a pristine 1999 Fender '65 Twin Reverb and I am cooking a deal on a 1968 Bassman with a 2-15 bottom. The cellar will be loud.

Those Fender amps are pretty hard to beat. The only downfall is that they are very loud, if you consider that a downfall.

Congrats on the new house and the new life. It is great to get to the point in life where you feel comfortable and complete.

Now it is time to kick back and enjoy all of those things that you were searching for all of your life.
