Good metal Pickups??

Hi there.

 

I was thinking about replacing the pickups in my epi les paul with some gibson ones. What would be your favourite pickup for metal.

 

 

What about for warm bluesy stuff or jazz????

Gibson 57 Classics are good all around pickups. When it comes to metal any pickups will work if you have enough gain.

Why do you wanna change out the original pickups?

Gibson 57 Classics are good all around pickups. When it comes to metal any pickups will work if you have enough gain.

 

I agree, the 57 classics are extremely versatile. You could always try burstbuckers. I used them in a few metal bands. Failing that, the ceramic 500t pickups Gibson used to put in the LP classic are very hot and may do the job.

 

Or you could always try the gibson "dirty fingers" pickups for some John Sykes style.
