Been looking for an explorer diligently that's in my price range. This seems to fit the bill, in fact its even a few hundred less than I was planning on spending. Seems like a steal, I was planning on changing out the electronics anyway so this actually saves me some time. Still not 100% if I should make the plunge; also am trying to figure out what kind of bridge it has. I'm wondering what the "old pickups" are too..Dirty Fingers? Thoughts?

I think 87 too late for Dirty Fingers to be stock. That bridge is a mess, some Kahler or something. Because of the bridge, I'd pass.

I shoulda been clearer. I don't have super vision. In my experience, bridges like that, Kahler, Floyds, copies of those two, DiveBombs that were on the old Kramer I had, them bridges all not worth the effort. I've always ended up losing the lock at the nut and eventually, sooner than later usually, dumping them. Locking strings in place on a machine made of wood and steel and plastic with three different expansion rates and all that is just a bad idea. In short sentences and thoughts, a mess. To me.

Good luck with it if you buy it, play it long and in good health!
