Riffster Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 The only album of theirs I like, great sound and great songs.
duane v Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I saw them in concert when they opened for Iron Maiden on the Piece of Mind tour..... I though TS rocked
pfox14 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 That's definitely a TS song you don't hear everyday. Good post
Riffster Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Another classic form the same album, I still have the 45rpm single http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsLLIcWFaa8
lespaulj45 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 years ago when I was in college I was a nightly audit guy for a major hotel chain-Twisted Sister was staying at the hotel during a concert in town. I really didnt know quite what to expect as far as behavior went-to my surprise they were extremely polite and perfect guests! I didnt expect this. My first lesson in "Dont judge a book by its cover"
ESPJDR17 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I saw them in concert when they opened for Iron Maiden on the Piece of Mind tour..... I though TS rocked Oh yeah, Piece of Mind! Where Eagles Dare!! I can't get enough of that song. Yeah T.S. is cool. I remember when those vids where on MTV.
ShredAstaire Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 They were right. After all these years...they were right!!!!
Searcy Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 I remember them touring with Maiden. I couldn't get tickets for the show..... Bummer. This is my all time favorite TS tune. Rockin' track and I love the message.
DiamondJig Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I use to see them as a cover band play'n the local bars and the Hampton's way back when in the mid 70's
Vega1 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Their music was OK (for the time) but I could never get past the makeup/style personally. I mean lets face it, you should not need a gimmick like that if your music speaks for itself IMHO. As far as Dee Snider, I've heard him interviewed multiple times and he's always come across as a really sharp guy. As evidenced by his role in the PMRC senate hearings. Seems really cool.
Searcy Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 It's rock and roll baby. It's 80% image and 20% talent. But I do try to listen with me ears and not my eyes.
