dem00n Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I never could get into that record, ive been thinking to give the band a other chance and check out Under Lock and Key.
duane v Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I used to be able to play that note for note...lol
Searcy Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 The guitar work on those early Dokken records is amazing.
pfox14 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Awesome sounding live band. Phenomenal guitar solo
Riffster Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I never could get into that record, ive been thinking to give the band a other chance and check out Under Lock and Key. Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack are a must. The guitar work on those early Dokken records is amazing. Yep, while I have to admit I never actully bought their first record (a friend had it) the next 3 albums just kept getting better and better.
Vega1 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Yeah, Dokken was good. I remember when me and my guitar playing friends first heard "Mr. Scary", Dokken's version of the obligatory hair metal instrumental. I think every hair metal band had to have one or two by their 3rd album. Still a fun listen even today though.
FirstMeasure Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 George Lynch is Awesome. However, I saw Don Dokken open for Robert Plant in 1991 and was just about asleep by the time they were done. <_< Very lackluster performance by a lackluster performer.
