Replacing a frequensator

Have any of you guys ever replaced a frequensator tailpiece with a tailpiece like a ES-5 or ES-175?

I am looking for a replacement that will fit the factory holes on a Zephyr blues deluxe.

Those style tailpieces will not fit the factory holes. The Frequensator mounting holes are very close to the top of the guitar; the ones on the ES-5/175 tailpiece are farther toward the center of the rim. The new tailpiece should cover the old Frequensator holes, but should you ever want to change back, the new holes would be visible.

Is there any non-frequensator tailpiece that will fit the stock holes?

BTW will a ABR-1 fit on the Epi bridge base?

Probably not, but you might be able to drill new holes in the tail piece to match the guitar.

No, Epiphones use metric spacing, ABR are Imperial, however...
