Les Paul Studio

The dot on the 'i' looks blended into the 'G' in the second pic. Is it really like this?

I have two Gibson LPs and neither of them look like this.

Yup, my dot touches the G also. See pics below. FWIW, the previous owner gave me his receipt from Sam Ash for this guitar, a hang tag, and the Gibson case has a little piece of paper taped to it that says "Gibson LP Studio Plus Orange". However, the receipt is from 2009, so it likely came to Sam Ash used.

It was nearly pristine when I got it, so if used, it spent its previous lifetime under a bed.

Hi bobf8332. I wouldn't be concerned. There have been some variations in this guitar, especially with the knobs. Yours is nearly identical to mine (different knobs). The model is called a Les Paul Studio Plus 99. Mine was made in 2003. It has 490R and 498T pickups in it. Plays great, sounds great, and there's not many of them around. What's not to like?

Thanks Moxie. I'm not concerned in the least. Both of mine have unquestionable pedigrees :)
