cajunman831
Well in the last month or so I bought two Les Pauls a custom and std. After many forums and advice, these are the two I bought. My std is carved AA maple light burst with alnico v burstbucker pro pickups. Now after forty years of playing Fender,Finally I own two Les Paul. The one in avatar is a pic from the custom I bought, which my girlfriend sent to me at work.I,ll be home in a a few weeks and I,ll post pics of them for you guys to see. They made a dip in my wallet, but if you want a good guitar with class and quality it costs.I always loved the Gibson sound.Last year or so been playing my hot rod telecaster modded with Glendale bridge plate and saddles with the mini humbucker.I still have my strats.lol
Tim Plains
40 years of playing Fenders? I always loved the Gibson sound. Why the h*ll did you wait so long?
SRV-Zeppelin
Congrats on your new axes! Fender is great, don't get me wrong, but for that classic humbucker crunch, you just can't beat Gibson. I really like Strats but would only ever use them for playing blues, and maybe chili peppers once in a while.

Just kidding of course. Seriously, did these specific two call to you or did you just decide that you wanted two after all this time?
cajunman831
Well it was gas.Hit me bad.I had the money to buy them,so many to choose from, so I chose these.I told my girlfriend this was it.lol I think I,ll be playing my std more than my custom as an everyday guitar.Plus I like the 50s neck.I have large hands. But,from what I,ve read the 50s neck is very comfortable. Homz
I've got two Gibson's. I only ever play the Standard. The Robot just doesn't have the crunch I love. I guess I'm not a big fan of the 490R/498T pick ups. Or perhaps it's because the Robot is built in the body of a Studio. Any one want a 1st Run Limited Edition Robot (almost never played). I'll cut you a deal.
