Elmer Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 I dont have any tats, but what does the writing near the samurai say? It is old 1863 Japanese calligraphy style written. Not everyone can read it. It is an old poster for a Kabuki performance. Kabuki is an old traditional dance style. It "should" tell the story of what is going to be seen in the theatre and what dancers there will come...BUT, this is a fake, a copy of the original wood block press. The copy was made also in 1863 but by a male who sells his services to woman. The story goes about egg plants (the egg plant was the symbol of the fallus) and more of that stuff, I am not going to give you the complete translation (that would be against forum rules) but it is an advertizement for a male whore in the Japan of 1863. The littles flags left and right are names of males available in the house.
