dem00n Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Hmm... http://www.themusiczoo.com/product/13480/Fender-Custom-Shop-Limited-Masterbuilt-Dennis-Dunaway-Billion-Dollar-Jazz-Bass/ Fender can be just as bad as Gibson sometimes, you know.
Riffster Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Gaaah! that things is downright offensive to the eyes...
Big Bill Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Come on guys, that was finished by 23 preschool kid in Tibet to raise money for the monks!
cabba2203 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Well...he did form and play in Alice Cooper....they weren't a metal band back then.
rocketman Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Well they wouldn't have built if they didn't think they could sell it. I'm not buying though.
Buxom Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Hmm... http://www.themusiczoo.com/product/13480/Fender-Custom-Shop-Limited-Masterbuilt-Dennis-Dunaway-Billion-Dollar-Jazz-Bass/ Fender can be just as bad as Gibson sometimes, you know. I'm disappointed that I own 2 Fenders atm...
Morkolo Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I'm getting in on this, just have to get a bedazzler kit.
RowdyMoon Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Lighting crew everywhere are cursing and swearing as we speak.
cabba2203 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I actually don't like it. Whats with all the round circles? They are mirrors, they reflect lighting. It can at times look cool...sometimes not so much.
rocketman Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I'm with you Rocketman. No chance. +1. Right back at you my friend.
Malchik Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Why is it missing paint? Because it is a replica of Dennis Dunaway's (of the original Alice Cooper) bass. This is the one used on the Billion Dollar Babies tour. That's why it's covered in diamonds and pennies. I'd hate to see the reaction to Syd Barrett's Esquire.
Searcy Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Here's the first thing I saw from FMIC that made me laugh. http://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/electric/gretsch/more/gretsch-g6120ec-u-s-custom-collection-eddie-cochran-tribute/?gclid=CKbh7srsyq4CFSQCQAod1lJqCg Only $12,000 and it can be yours.
cabba2203 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Dennis had an SG bass with sparkles and mirrors on it too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nwm2bNCTMdQ&feature=related
kaleb Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Just like I pointed out with the Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul, it was nice that he was acknowledged. Sure, only Alice Cooper freaks and collectors will buy them, but it brings back a better era of music: between 1971 and 1982. Bell Bottoms, spandex (before hair metal wore it out!), eight inch boots, polyester, and Flying Vs! After Zeppelin, but before hair metal. Kiss, Cooper, early Van Halen, early Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Pat Travers. Good tunes.
zipster100 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I think I just threw up a little in my mouth from seeing that.
jaxson50 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Uglier then a bag of sun dried azzholes after somebody picked the pretty ones out...
FenderGuy1 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Here's the first thing I saw from FMIC that made me laugh. http://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/electric/gretsch/more/gretsch-g6120ec-u-s-custom-collection-eddie-cochran-tribute/?gclid=CKbh7srsyq4CFSQCQAod1lJqCg Only $12,000 and it can be yours. i love that guitar, i can play some cochran on guitar so i need a gretsch with a bigsby
Kelvinator Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 The whole "road worn" or "relic" thing is totally lost on me anyway (I can do that myself over time for a lot less money). But that J bass - Whew! "Each mirror and jewel has been hand-glued and placed" - really? very impressive....... You could hand-glue and place those reflective beauties on a pair of Crocs too - then you'd have something that at least a child could love!!
