Riffster Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Picked this up for $3, record is in mint condition, vintage 1982 and it sounds really, really good, the guitar tone is just fantastic
Fungus Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Nice buy! I agree...that was $3 well spent! I had the fortune of seeing them a few times years ago.....
T Bone Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 That WAS a great score! Had the good fortune to see the current version of the band last Fall in Jensen Beach, FL. Still rockin' still sounding great though it's a shame the original singer passed away some time back, at least there were a few remaining founders with the band.
rocketman Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Great find! My buddy and his brother played guitar and bass for them on one of their reunion tours.
surfpup Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Me likee. That's my generation and my geography. Still listen to them often. The "Bring 'Em Back Alive" record is one of my favorites.
JohnMac Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Glad to hear that it sounds good! I'm a vinyl fan and so much of the vinyl cut in the '80s sounds horrible. With the advent of CDs they began to cut corners. Today I picked up a Stan Dave Brubeck at the '58 Newport Festival and it sounds quite amazing. Also, a late '50s Chet Atkins that I'm anxious to listen to. J
