Any guitar dealers?

While not looking to deal full time, i really think dealing guitars would be a fun way to maybe supplement my income. Are there any dealers in the house? What kind of startup funds should i realistically be looking at, and how would i go about buying guitars to sell and finding clients?

You could be one of those guys buying guitars from ebay and craigslist/locally and then selling them. Since your not going for full time thats what id recommend...

I had that same sort of thought about that.. I did get a couple of guitars to keep for a while and sell on but its not an easy thing to do and make enough money on to be worth while.. (and theres always the chance something can go wrong if you ship them or you could have to deal with some **** who says they didnt get it or something is wrong, which always made me nervous)

 

HOWEVER that is just me, maybe I was just no good at it. I think youd have to find some real bargins and its hard to say which guitars will be popular enough or rare enough to make something back. Ebay and the like can be very unpredictable.

 

BUT in saying all of that even if you do it and just break even its a cool way to try loads of guitars out, like have a rotating collection.. In the end though I hated having really nice guitars just sitting in their cases doing nothing so I stopped.. :)
