heymisterk Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Great stuff posted here. To me though, grunge was just rock and roll. I loved this song; it was one of the first songs I actually had to write out the chord progression for some parts since it jumped all over the place... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFyv6Y2J9Lw

I loved this song; it was one of the first songs I actually had to write out the chord progression for some parts since it jumped all over the place... I remember that one. Cool tune. I love the old Grunge stuff but yea, there was a lot more going on in the early 90's. When you hear someone saying it was all about grunge you know they got all their music info from Mtv. Truth is it's about my favorite period for music ever.
charlie brown Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Started in '89, but gained prominence in the mid '90's. One of my favorites... CB
dem00n Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Early 90's was a great time for death metal and black metal bands, also the death of thrash metal. I'm not in the mood to search for videos so...

S t e v e Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I was a kid in the 90s and in my opinion Grunge was the best part of it. Nirvana and Kurt Cobain is one reason why I make music today. hmmm, i was a teen in the 90's and grunge had NO part in the reason i play guitar (no offence to you btw)..."live blues" by gary moore insipred me.
tazzboy Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I was also a Teenager and I wasn't into Grunge either.
