Waingro
Just had a question/curiosity... I've always thought Explorers for the most part had mini Grovers as the stock tuners. I had an 80's era that had chrome mini Grovers, the 76 reissues they've been making for years all seem to have them. I'm looking at a 97 (76 Reissue) that has Gibson tuners?? I guess they could've been replacements or have the Gibson tuners been stock certain years??
DestructorsKillMusic1982
Gibson tuners were stock on most of the Explorers that I've seen (mine has them), and tuning-wise they've worked well so far, I find them to be more reliable than the green-key Kluson-types that come on many other Gibsons, which seem to give me a couple good years of service before I have to replace them with Grovers.
