accidental Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Hello everyone Does anybody know what this guitar could possibly be: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7058/6883647073_b7e29b3ee2_b.jpg
ksdaddy Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 It's an L6-S Custom. Most L6-S models were the Deluxe with a rounded pickguard, stop tailpiece, and 6 way switch. The Custom had a pointed guard, string-though body bridge, and a normal 3 way switch. The L6-S was made from circa 1973 to circa 1981. Most were set neck but some were bolt on. Looks like the pickups aren't original in the one pictured. They had Bill Lawrence designed humbuckers but they had plain black plastic or chrome covers with no visible polepieces.
accidental Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks for the reply! Hmmm... the body and neck seem to be right. What about the string-through though? Plus, the guitar seems to have only two control knobs instead of three...
accidental Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Just realised, it is actually the LS6 Deluxe!
accidental Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 As a follow up, can anybody identify this one, looks like some sort of Melody Maker:
