Plus Top Dan
Having been a stratocaster man mainly in the past i'm trying to learn more about Epiphones & Gibson, in particular what kind of specs my Les Paul has. I've heard a lot about 50s neck and 60s necks but have never knowingly compared one against the other. What would an Epiphone Les Paul Standard from 2006 have, a 50s or a 60s neck? Many thanks in advance!!

SNick
I believe the 50's is referred to as the "Baseball bat" neck. It's thicker.
Blueman335
I have and have had, a lot of Epi's, and almost all have '60's necks, but even then, there is some variation. I picked up a Dot last year that has a thick baseball-bat mahogany neck, but that's unusual. Recently Epi's been using D shape necks on some models, wide and thin, which I'm not overly fond of.
