crust
So, I sold the Broadway and the Emperor Regent, but kept the Casino,SG,P-93 Riviera and LP's. I am getting another guitar, this time not an Epiphone (sorry Epiphone, probably next time). The two jazz type guitars (Broadway and Emperor) were very nice guitars but I wasn't really playing them as much as the Casino or the Riviera. So, I have a non-Epiphone/Gibson on order. I'd like to post a pic but I don't know if posting a competitors product is appropriate ? Maybe in the lounge? I didn't see anything in the TOS about posting about competitors instruments. brad1
Posting it in the lounge would be fine. Hope you do, we'd all like to see it.
bonzoboy
I don't think that it's taboo to post pix or info of guitars that aren't Gibson/Epiphone.A few months ago I posted pix of my collection of 30 guitars of which only 6 were Epis and there were no repercussions. Most forums don't mind people posting pix of competitors products, after all it's a fact of life that most musicians use several makes of guitars etc.

Gordy01
thanks for the reply's. Well, this is what I ordered to replace those 2. I'm not too familiar with Gretsch guitars. Is that a Duo-Jet? And is that even the correct name I just put in there?
SpruceTop
I'm not too familiar with Gretsch guitars. Is that a Duo-Jet? And is that even the correct name I just put in there? I think they call it a Double Jet - essentially a double cut Duo Jet. It's the latest version with newly designed pu's. I'd like to know what those pu's sound like. I have a 2011 Electromatic "Country Gentleman" that I changed out all of the electronics. Great Korean-made guitar.

Actually that's an Electromatic Pro Jet. The Duo Jet and Double Jet refer to the pro-line models. I've played these new Pro Jets, and was quite impressed. The bodies are chambered basswood, so they're light and comfy to play, and the pickups are called Blacktop Filtertrons. Essentially they're the same specs as Filtertrons from the Baldwin era (ceramic magnets, I believe) and are also used on the Tim Armstrong signature model.
