DeathCrow
I picked up a guitar today, at a yard sale for $10. It has a cracked headstock so I figured it would make a fun project guitar. Well I got started tearing it apart, pulling off all the hardware, pickups, etc. I think this thing may have some highly collectable pickups in it, one looks to be an early Gibson. In no way are both pickups original(mounting holes on both were way off compared to the old holes). The neck pickup says "DeArmond" on it. The bridge pickup only says "Patent no 2,737,842" Any ideas about these pu's and what there worth is, if any? Here are the pics The guitar http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole004.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole009.jpg DeArmond pickup http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole005.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole006.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole007.jpg Patent no 2,737,842 pickup http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole002.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole003.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole001.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/Marcella001/Fhole008.jpg

AXE®
The firs I'm not sure about. The second could be a Gibson mini humbucker, De Armond also made mini hums off and on over the years. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I will ask around.
daveinspain
The second pup looks like a Gibson Pat. number pick up.... Same sticker anyway.... which could be mid or late 60's to late 70's....
