charlie brown
Cool! Seems to be at a reasonable "selling price," too...given the "Suggested List!" CB
LarryUK
$1300/£828 and just a gig bag? That's more than a studio 60/50 tribute. Compare that to a Charvel So cal that comes with original Floyd Rose and an SBK case. Exchanged at today's rate it would be $985/£629 for the Charvel. No comparison. charlie brown
$1300 and just a gig bag? Disgrace. Yeah, but that's "List" price, not selling price... None of Gibson's "under 1000 dollar Selling Price" guitars come with a hardshell case. At least, not intentionally. CB
Rabs
$1300 and just a gig bag? Disgrace. Yeah they do that for all the Studio and cheaper models.. which I think is maddness.. How can you let a guitar with the name Gibson on the headstock out without a hardcase?? Its like sending a Banksy in a jiffy bag.. you just wouldnt.. Its also silly cos Gibson loose a sale out of it.. I never buy Gibson cases cos theres many good ones out there for half the price.. Oh well.. LPDEN
More like $799 street. I wouldn't expect a case at that price point anymore, though Epiphone offers a nice period-correct colored case one with the '61 50th Casinos for under $700. Now that's a good deal! On the other hand, Fano sells $2K + guitars with gig bags (at least they used over a year ago). One would expect a HSC for a $2K+ purchase, no? But I feel $799 is fair game for a gig bag. Heck, my new LP Junior Gloss for $649 came with the nice Gibson USA gig bag, and it's perfect for it. Would I prefer a case, sure, but for $649, the Gig Bag is fine. And it's about the guitar, and these are great values. Alot rock-n-roll for the buck!
