An entire set of shots of the new Dark Fire has surfaced, so feel free to take a look for yourself. While there aren't any details yet, these high-resolution shots should give you some idea of what's coming. Since the shots were so large, I've set them up as thumbnails. Click on each to see the full sized image.

It looks to me like Gibson is remodeling some hardware. First, they are using what appears to be Carbon Fibre PU covers, pickguard, fretboard inlays and maybe even binding. It looks like a Gibson Hybrid? type of pickup, never seen one like this before from Gibson? possibly a robot with maybe either the digital's Pickup OR a piezo. That's only from what I can tell...SO TELL ME GIBSON REPS....AM I FAR OFF????

Wow. That is a serious amount of wood that is removed for chambering. I'm kinda stunned. I guess I never realized it was so drastic. Reminds me a lot of what Gibson does to the innards of the CS336. That thing is darned near semi acoustic. Thanks for sharing the pics dm -

thx for the pics, please post more, some of the electronics, jacks, external accessories, software, ect…. I love the clean stop tail & bridge design no edges nice and smooth. The wiring is a great change from the ribbons used on the ROBOs. Great job refining the ROBO.

I wonder if the drastic chambering is meant to counter balance a lighter neck, as in composite. Perhaps carbon fiber?

I wouldn't be surprised if it does feature a piezo in the bridge. That would also correspond with the chambering.

I love the look., and can't wait to see one up close. Gibson rarely disappoints me.
