Thanks, Muse, every instrument has a story, just as I'm sure yours have. No fruit trees in the pix, though, just big green bushes.

My sister wrote a cookbook using that particular bush. She was allergic to basil so it was her "herb" replacement. Her spagetti sauce made me feel good all over. Her gingerbread was heavenly! ^_^

My sister also was able to "train" that particular plant into a hanging plant. At times that plant had a display of tiny yellow flowers. One day my mother paid her a visit and "really wanted a cutting from that beautiful plant with the tiny yellow flowers". That's when the fun began............................... :D

There's probably a pill for it now. (if you don't mind suicidal thoughts and anal leakage) [crying]

When he rides the bull into town...and punches the horse...classic...Alex was as blind as a bat, played his whole career not being able to see the football, said he had to sniff out the pigskin...

can i have a old silverface amp? BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR MONTHS sorry capslock was on

Well....no.

Let's get real here - no-one gives 'em away, you know that! - as even not working they're worth good money on eBay. Have a look there and you'll see. Otherwise collect whatever you can that's music-related and eventually trade up.

Something else,if you check the picture again.

Look at the mains board left of the amps and the 2 lights on the Twin II at right.

I don't think you could know this:

That's 3-pin 240v supply and only European versions of that model had the 2 illuminated rocker switches.

Ah.

I have to ask. To the guy with the vintage yellow telecaster user jdgm

Is that a knob directly below the bridge? it looks like some kind of knob there.

If It is a knob what does it do?

Yes Jake.

It is a Parsons-White B string bender which was designed by Gene Parsons and the late Clarence White of the Byrds. Google for it and you'll find out. Stringbender.com. They have audio examples but the site loads a bunch of plug-ins.

It was retro-fitted to the guitar by Mr Parsons for me in 1980 when I visited USA, to cut a long story short.

I won't go on. You can still get a Fender Tele with a similar one fitted I think.

On record; Clarence White notably on 'Untitled', and 'Live at the Fillmore' by the Byrds.

Marty Stuart now owns White's original Telecaster and recorded a tribute called 'Hummingbyrd' with it.

Page and Townshend have both recorded with them. Clapton was once handed MY guitar at a small charity gig and he handed it right back, saying "I can't play those **** things!" True story.

The guitarist Frank Reckard in Emmylou Harris's band had one (made by someone else) on a Gibson, he really knew how to use it to the max. I have a hot live tape of that!

Albert Lee (played with both Emmylou and Clapton) used an Evans string bender - same thing, made by another guy again - on the track 'Sweet Li'l Lisa' off Dave Edmunds' album 'Repeat When Necessary'. That was what did it for me.

Best wishes

Haven't taken the opportunity to air out some old pics of my beauties since returning from my hiatus. And I haven't got a peek at those of the folks who joined in the past year or so. Please feel free to add your own. Good way to pass a Saturday during breaks from March Madness.
