panther ampex
Just bought a vintage gibson tenor guitar. Need some help with the date however. It's a TG-50 Tenor Guitar. complete with dearmand floating pick up which seems to be original to the guitar. The tuners are Klus Customs which also appear to be original to the guitar. Stamped in one f-hole is the model number TG-50 In the other f- hole i have what appears to be a factory order number. This is 3474 10 Anyone know how i can date this beauty? BobB
The TG-50 model was available from 1934-1957. The Factory order number would point to this instrument being built between 1948-1950.
