roxymusic
My favorite early Stones song has got to be Paint it Black
Tman5293
Can't choose one so I'm choosing two. Satisfaction and Honky Tonk woman.
charlie brown
'The Last Time' is where I came in....'64? That's a GREAT riff and if you look at old TV of it (must be on UTube) Brian Jones plays his part on the Vox teardrop, half-way up the neck. Never quite figured that out as it's easier further down. And 'Aftermath', still one of their best early LPs. Yeah, I ogiginally leared that riff, the way Brian did it. It was later, that I discovered it was easier, in more the open position. But, it works well, either way. CB
lespaulj45
It would have to be "Heart of Stone" . Absolutely wore the record out at keg parties in mid-sixties.
Daryl M
I'm sure where 'early' Stones ends and 'mid' Stones begins, but 'Honky Tonk Women' would be my pick.
EVOL!
Everything off of this album. Even the hippy-dippy stuff
charlie brown
I guess I meant "early" as in the "original lineup-Brian Jones era," mostly. CB
surfpup
To be honest, for me it's all about 68-74. Beggar's Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Goat's Head Soup and It's Only Rock & Roll are the Stones albums I love. So even though they aren't exactly "early" work, here are some of my favorite tunes...

Kelvinator
If the late 60's are "early" enough, 2 of my favorites are "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Can't Always Get What You Want".
MissouriPicker
Really some great videos. Awesome stuff. It's tough to find any rock & roll group that can stand toe-to-toe with The Rolling Stones. The Beatles were good, but no longevity as an active band. The Stones have been active for decades. To me, they have what I consider to be some of the qualities that endeared Johnny Cash to so many people: they are easy for me to identify with. They are down-and-dirty, full of human flaws and I understand where they are coming from. Each of them is kind of a version of me. Only richer, and vastly more talented. .........Good topic. I love those videos of them just sitting-around picking.
charlie brown
Well, I'm NOT going to get into a Stones vs. Beatles thing, at all. I'll simply say, The Beatles have their own "life" as a band, even way after they physically broke up, and stop playing. So, their's is a different kind of longevity. I never really compared the two bands, even when they were both going strong. They were always of different styles, to me...and, frankly I liked/loved them both, for their differences, not in spite of. CB

jaxson50
Midnight Rambler, Wild Horses, Beggars Banq. Honky Tonk Woman, Brown Sugar, Spider and the Fly, Angie..so many great songs. The Stones have broken up, had feuds, even gone to fist city with each other more then once, sort a like a family...The Beatles music will out live everyone alive today, so will the Stones, I hate make judgment calls on such things. Like comparing Surf to Soul..It's all good, life is a buffet...................DIG IN!

saturn
Since "Under My Thumb" has already been mentioned (some of the best rhythm playing ever IMO)and also "Monkey Man" too.... Not sure if 1971 is considered "early" Stones or not, but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgE6KEA8nog
