Blueblooded
I've got both and both are AWESOME! Changed the black knobs on the Vegas to gold top hats and pickup selector to creme, as shown. Just switched the pickup rings to creme too, and looks fantastic.
gnappi
I am very interested in the feedback on the midtown. I am beyond stoked to have a Gibson Vegas Standard coming my way. Something about the body and tone i love! Midtown and Vegas owners feedback? Thanks! I have both Midtowns (Custom and Standard), as well as a Vegas and a Blueshawk, all four have similarities and I like them all. If you decide to buy one Good luck with finding the Vegas, people are asking silly prices for them and getting it. The Midtowns I bought at blowout prices just because of the price, but they're fine examples of the bean counters at Gibson having their heads where the sun doesn't shine by discontinuing them. Great little guitars they are. The Vegas is yet ANOTHER evample of the "Sell a million a month" or discontinue it at Gibson. The Vegas is the lightest AND LOUDEST of the four, it has the most volume of any Gibson I own. All four are great players, and have their own individual sound. Here's a pic of all four, and the Vegas, it's DARK wine red and hard to get the color right:
