Rabs
Yeah - don't remember him at all, must not have lasted long. Horrible interviewer. Yeah he certainly seems up himself... but then from what I remember at the begining of MTV it seemed to be a pre-requisite for being an MTV presenter :P
krock
Ive never seen shows that low budget before. Even my childhood tv programs look like they had a bigger budget

kaleb
Most interviewers are twerps. I was watching an interview with KISS from that big yet crappy Dynasty tour in 1979, which was Peter Criss's last tour until the Reunion tour. The interviewer lady was very snooty and seemed to not care. Especially with Ace. Cause' he was being himself and she probably couldn't understand his sense of humor. Another similar incident was when Ace and Tod Howarth (the rhythm guitarist in Frehley's Comet) were being interviewed in London before their performance at the Hammersmith Odeon in March of 1988. Interviewer was an epic twerp.
7C
I take back everything I have ever said about TV not being as good as it used to be.
RS1976
cool interview. i liked GnR back in the day. the first record and EP were classics. The interviewer is actually a radio DJ that made the transitition to TV. Once upon a time MTV people actually were real people. he may be a little off, but he's an old school radio host that was being cool to a then little known band. Mind you Appitite came out in 87. Kinda wierd seeing them still unsure of themselves and how to act with being on TV. they have that 'too cool' attitude, but hadn't yet learned how to use it. just my .02 cents
