Gator
What are the differences between the Les Paul Standard Plain Top and the Les Paul Studio Deluxe, each at $400?
RipperSB
According to the Epiphone website, the Standard has a maple cap and trapezoid inlays on the fretboard.
Whitmore Willy
The LP Studio Deluxe also has the trapezoid inlays: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Limited-Edition-Les-Paul-Studio-Deluxe-Electric-Guitar-106540701-i1874841.gc The Standard Plain Top has Grover tuners. The Studio Deluxe has Vintage Kluson tuners with tombstone buttons. I believe the Standard comes with chrome hardware. The Studio Deluxe has nickel except for the Alpine White which has gold. Biggest difference I see is that the Studio does not have bindings.....body or neck. This makes little or no difference to some and all the difference in the world to others. Blueman335
Standards have a little more bling that's all. They're going to feel, play, and sound about the same. A Studio has everything you need, a Standard has a little extra.
