JohnnyReb
Thought I would share the news with you guys that Mr Scruggs passed away this morning in Nashville. I never heard it on the news and was just shocked with it a few mins ago. He is one of my musical heroes and hate to see him go. Great man and musician. A real pioneer. QuestionMark
Absolutely phenomenal playing... His picking and musicianship whether on guitar or 5 string banjo will remain an inspiration. What a life he had...he made the world a better place for all musicians. QM (aka Jazzman Jeff)
bobouz
Really loved so much of Earl's work. From setting the standard with Bill Monroe's band, to the diversity of Earl Scruggs-His Family & Friends, this gentleman's contribution will never be forgotten. willysunday
Very sad news. What a GIANT talent while remaining a humble servant of music. Very few have put their stamp on music as did Mr. Scruggs. RIP Earle Scruggs, and thanks. Best to his family & friends. Willy
