JohnnyReb 20 Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Thought I would share the news with you guys that Mr Scruggs passed away this morning in Nashville. I never heard it on the news and was just shocked with it a few mins ago. He is one of my musical heroes and hate to see him go. Great man and musician. A real pioneer. Rip Mr Scruggs

QuestionMark 74 Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Absolutely phenomenal playing... His picking and musicianship whether on guitar or 5 string banjo will remain an inspiration. What a life he had...he made the world a better place for all musicians. QM (aka Jazzman Jeff)

willysunday 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2012 Very sad news. What a GIANT talent while remaining a humble servant of music. Very few have put their stamp on music as did Mr. Scruggs. RIP Earle Scruggs, and thanks. Best to his family & friends. Willy
