LPDEN
Nice looking deal for that Gibby!
BigKahune
. Looks like maybe the headstock finish is beginning to pull away up top and by the TRC, or are those just reflections.
Morkolo
. Looks like maybe the headstock finish is beginning to pull away up top and by the TRC, or are those just reflections. Actually I've noticed that on a few Gibsons, is it a normal thing for that to happen over time?
BigKahune
. It's not normal, and this issue has been cropping up for the couple of decades The problem has been posted two or three times in the last year. One was really bad - http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/66553-finish-checking-headstock-only/ This headstock finish delamination isn't limited to Gibson acoustics, I've also seen it on electrics too. Motherofpearl
Yes that guitar is mine and is in excellent condition and this guitar sounds great! That headstock issue I have no clue what that is but you can't even feel it and hasent got any worse or better since I had it but I can assure you whoever gets this wm will be completely satisfied it's virtually new with a few pick swirls on the guard!
