Dave it's the baked maple fret boarding a mahogany neck. Very very smooth and extremely hard.

The trans Atlantic is my dream amp I love it. So many different sounds and enough grunt to play any venue I am getting booked in. I tend to use the Vox settings on the clean side and the hi1 (marshall) setting for p90's gives it a real punk grunt. For burstbucker pros or the 500t I like the hi2 (Mesa) sound and for the 57's in the 335 I use the tweed and Vox sounds its just such a versatile amp. Try it with a heap of cabs and play around with the ohms I found vintage 30's are best for me although the same speakers in a Mesa cab I hated go figure

I was torn between the Classic Plus and the Classic Custom... went with the latter. But in the middle of shielding the cavity and adding new pots/caps as well as a set of ceramic 500T/496R's... I will have a Les Paul Classic Custom Plus!!! Pics will follow... when it's put back together again...

Great looking axe.

I have that same colour on my LP Robot and really like it. The nice wood grain just barely shows through.

Never wanted a blue guitar until I got this one. Now I'm more open to different colors.

Play it in good health.

Dave
