Something from "the good old days."

So funny to see this... I just returned from a road trip to Arkansas (searching for diamonds, we were--no luck) on which we stopped at diners and avoided chain fast-food. Dang if we didn't stop at Loretta's Kitchen, west of Nashville about an hour, and enjoy the memorabilia and crass commercialism.

Still, there were all those autographed photos and album covers, hanging everywhere. Been humming "Lorettie" tunes ever since. "Ever day we worked hard; at night we'd sleep 'cause we were tard..."

I've seen a video documentary of the making of her 2004 album, "Van Lear Rose", produced by Jack White. A couple of the photos is if her and an Epiphone Excellente. That is probably the one. It may be on the cover.

My favorite quote of hers was from an interview she did years ago. The interviewer asked why she wrote all of her songs. Her response was, "Doesn't everybody?"

She is so naive and so worldly in many ways.

"Don't come home a dinkin' with lovin' on your mind."

Probably time to watch "A Coal Miner's Daughter" on Netflix.
