Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers video

Yeah...it appears to be a J-50.


This is what I thought, but I also wouldn't think that Mike Campbell (..or one of his expensice Guitar techs!) would get this wrong!!!!


As far as the year goes for this guitar it's definately post '56 when the adjustable saddle was introduced. I'd put my money on a late 50's model.....


My guess is that it is in fact labeled J-45 in the soundhole and was sold as a Natural model.....Any thoughts?

Looks to me like it might be a really faded cherryburst, which would make it a 45, not a 50. The upper bout appears a little darker than the rest of the guitar.


Guess that's a good reason for the confusion. Good be it Tiny....
