daveinspain
Just stumble on something odd.... If I have both my volume pots set to 0 as in no sound and switch the rhythm/treble toggle to rhythm position I get full volume.... Middle position is quiet, treble position is quiet, very strange! Could be defective pot? Defective switch? Its kind a cool though because if I hit a chord with the pots down all the way to zero and the toggle in the center position when I flick it up to the rhythm pick up it comes on full, so by clicking between rhythm and center position I get a kill switch effect.... It's cool but I think I should get it fixed if its a defect while its still on guarantee.... What do you guys think? I got till December for my guarentee... Tim Plains
Dave, when you're only using the neck pickup does your volume pot do anything? I mean, if you turn the knob back up. Which guitar is this?

daveinspain
So with both volumes set to zero and the switch set to rhythm I can hit a power chord full on... flicking the switch between rhythm and center or treble it cuts out all sound as the volumes are set to zero.... Sounds like a gated effect... It's really cool... But I don't think its right....

SRV-Zeppelin
Wow, that's really cool... and really weird. Maybe Gibson accidentally sold you some type of weird BFG-robot hybrid... sounds like something out of "Night of the Living Guitars." Good luck! Tim Plains
Dave, because it's a Robot and there are a whole bunch of electronics that I know nothing about, I shouldn't say anything. I know the lead volume pot has some fancy things going on in there, I don't know if the rhythm volume pot does. If the guitar were mine, I'd do a quick google search on this issue and then email Gibson. If you're lucky, it's just a regular 300K pot in there. They're easy to replace.
