Gibson Les Paul R8 DGS

I would like to have a guitar checked to verify authenticity.

It concerns a Gibson Les Paul '58 reissue Custom Shop, 30th Anniversary, exclusively built for Dave's Guitar Shop. Serial # : DGS010

 

This guitar is for sale @ Guitar Boogie musicstore in The Netherlands.

I think the serial number has quite a strange format, and the head has not been stamped with famous "made in USA" stamp.

It's quite a lot of money, and as there are fake Gibson guitars in rotation, i would like to make sure that i'm buying an authentic gibson.

 

What do you think guys?

It's real - strange to find one in Belgium! Looks like a similar price:

These are like the Yamano specials in a way; select tops and nice bursts. I'd grab it in a heart beat!

'50s reissues don't have "Made in USA" on the back of the headstock.

It's interesting to see a list price of $4,699 on these 30th anniversary guitars with "selected tops and finishes" while the run-of-the-mill R8s go for $4,499. Is it worth $200?
