Chris Steele Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 Hello My father is currently wanting to sell his 1972 SG Special, added pre-amp and humbuckers fitted, serial no 778797, he has owned it since 1974. Believed to be a rare guitar. Any further infomation on it would be appreciated, especially it's value and where would be the best place to find a buyer. Since your guitar has been routed for full size humbuckers and a preamp, the collectability value is kind of shot. You might be able to sell it for $1500 to $2000.
