1995 Epiphone Rivoli - Recommended Electronics

I just recently acquired a 1995 Epiphone Rivoli, and i've been reading through the forums and a few other sites that i've found on Google, and have noticed that there are two different wiring diagrams for the bass with regards to the original Gibson EB-2/Epiphone Rivoli's of the '50s and '60s, and the '90s reissues, in the sense that one diagram has it as a 250k tone pot and another has a 500k tone pot.

My question is, how much of a difference is it between the 250k and the 500k, and which would you recommend?

I ask because I will be buying these pots to upgrade the electronics:

Volume,

And for tone, either this 250k,

http://store.rsguitarworks.net/CTS4.html

Or this 500k,

But obviously I wanna be right about which pot to use, and also yes I am already aware my tech's gonna have to drill the holes for the pots slightly larger from the original (6mm?) metric import sized pot holes.

While we're on the subject of Rivoli wiring and electronics, I've also noticed that the wiring diagram calls for a .022 cap, but I've also seen multiple .02 caps on it along with the .022, so I was wonder just how many caps and of what ratings am I supposed to/should I buy?

I'll be selecting from this list,

Or from Guitar-Electronics

And I'm also thinking about swapping the current EB style pickup (Sidewinder?) with one of these two from Curtis Novak,

Made to vintage or custom spec (although I'm wondering just how muddy the old 30K vintage EB pickups were),

Or this one,

I'm gonna leave the baritone switch alone, along with the 3-point bridge (but I am looking into the Hipshot replacement bridge, though i'm trying to keep this bass as close to looking and being vintage spec as much as possible)

So if you could recommend anything or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

PS,

Does anybody know where I can find and buy a direct replacement for the truss rod cover? When I bought my Rivoli, it didn't come with a truss rod cover, and one I ordered off eBay didn't fit it or my modified Epiphone Dot.

Thanks to anybody that reads this and gives any feedback or info. By the way, this is the bass as it is,
