P-90H the same as the the H-90?

Interesting, though this doesn't answer your question directly:

I'm guessing that they will be quite similar, since the only sensible way to hum cancel is to coil stack. Fender has done this quite successfully with their noiseless series, so I wouldn't be surprised if Gibson has finally made their best sounding one and called it P-90H as a next step in the nomenclature process.

Fender started with vintage noiseless and hot noiseless, and now they have cobalt noiseless or something, where they used a different magnet that ended up producing a very true to original sound in a stacked humbucker configuration.

I asked a similar question in the Dark Fire forum. Got an answer that they were definitely NOT just P100's by a new name, but didn't get an answer as to the difference, if any, between a P90H and an H90. The Gibson guy (Mike) said he wasn't sure if Gibson were going to make the P90H available as part of the pickup line.

I'm desperate for some pickups that still sound like P90's but are noiseless. A lot of my work is done in front of a computer and the stock P90's in my SG Classic pick up all sorts of noise from it. I've even got an EH Hum Debugger in use, but that just deals with the 60 cycle hum, not other noise and interference picked up by single coils.

Early word from the Dark Fire forum is that the P90H isn't exactly the P90-without-the-noise that Gibson is saying it is. Several say it still hums like a regular P90.

Edited 12/29 to add: Just saw a Lindy Fralin ad in the new Guitar Player (with Metallica on the cover) - it says "Coming Soon: Humbucking P90's"! NAMM is just around the corner, so I'm guessing they're not far off. Lindy's got a great rep for making excellent sounding P90's, let's hope he's found the secret to keeping the tone but killing the hum.
