ksdaddy
Anybody can do anything they want with their guitars I suppose, but that's not good stewardship. It never should have happened. I didn't know what a Blue Jacket was. The only blue jacket I own says "CF Martin & Co" on the back so I don't talk about it on this forum!

ksdaddy
Not a lot of activity on this auction. Makes me wish I was set up to spray metalflake. I've been secretly hoping for a suitable "good" Gibson to make something crazy but not too far over the top. The top has been (at least) oversprayed, tuners changed and the headstock broken. If it were an older Gibson with vintage value I would strongly advocate a full blown restoration. However it is a 90s Bozeman Gibson and not a 'top dollar' one so it has the unique characteristic of being high quality but also not irreplaceable. A perfect guitar to do in metalflake purple. Oh yeah, baby.... Silver sparkle a la Buck Owens/Don Rich Telecasters with translucent Dodge Challenger plum purple over it..... Mmm-mm--good! ksdaddy
If the neck is repaired properly it will never move. I would remove the Stanley shelf bracket and see what's underneath. If I did it, I would shoot the entire guitar, so the back of the neck would get it too. I'm not seriously considering it, but man it would be sharp.
