I like the idea of mini HBs, but I'm not sure about the Maple necks - why not Mahogany?

 

Because that's what Gibson used in the 70's, Hence the moniker and choice of materials.

Want a volute because it was cool and vintage? Volute is bad awful worst thing Norlin ever did? Man, I need a Guitar Sales Program to keep up with it all.

Are these available in the US too? I like the looks of that Firebird too, couldn't find them on Gibson's site (did find the other model they still have there though, and some used examples on eBay, but they are way more than these).

Yes im sure they will be..

 

Andertons are just really quick at getting this info up... I think that the dealers get Gibson news letters and decide to put the info up themselves, sometimes its months before it comes up on the Gibson site..
